Written by green

Dice Duels is a multiplayer Duelbits Original where players compete head-to-head (or in groups) by rolling dice. The highest roll wins the pot. Every round is provably fair and can be independently verified.

🎲 How Dice Duels Works

Dice Duels is a real-time dice game played between 2 and 10 players. Each player places the same bet amount to enter the duel. Once all slots are filled, the game begins automatically, every player rolls once, generating a random number between 0.00 and 99.99. The player with the highest roll wins.

The winner takes the entire pot. If two players duel, the winner receives 2x their bet. If ten players duel, the winner receives 10x. The payout multiplier always matches the number of participants.

⚔️ Creating a Duel

To create your own duel:

  1. Navigate to Dice Duels from the Originals section in the left-hand navigation.

  2. Click Create Duel.

  3. Set your bet amount and choose the number of players (2-10).

  4. Confirm, your duel will appear in the lobby for other players to join.

Your bet is locked in when you create the duel. The round begins automatically once all player slots are filled.

🎮 Joining a Duel

Open the Dice Duels lobby to see all available duels. Each listing shows the bet amount and how many player slots remain. Click a duel to join and your bet is placed immediately. Once the last slot fills, the dice roll automatically.

🏆 Payout Structure

Payouts are straightforward, the winner takes everything:

  • 2 players → winner receives 2x their bet

  • 3 players → winner receives 3x their bet

  • 5 players → winner receives 5x their bet

  • 10 players → winner receives 10x their bet

🔐 Provably Fair

Dice Duels is provably fair, meaning every roll outcome is cryptographically determined before the round starts and can be verified afterwards. The system works as follows:

  • Server seed: a hashed seed committed by Duelbits before the round begins

  • Client seed: set by you (you can change it at any time before a round)

  • Nonce: a counter that increments with each bet

After a round is completed, you can reveal the server seed and use it alongside your client seed and nonce to verify that the roll was fair. Verification can be done within the Duelbits interface or using third-party provably fair verification tools.

📡 Disconnection Handling

If you disconnect after creating or joining a duel, your bet remains in the game. The duel will proceed as normal once all player slots are filled, your dice will still be rolled automatically regardless of whether you are online. If you win, the payout is credited to your balance. You do not need to be connected to receive winnings.

📊 Leaderboard and Rakeback

Wagers placed in Dice Duels count toward the Duelbits leaderboard. Every bet you place contributes to your leaderboard volume, regardless of whether you win or lose the duel. Dice Duels bets also earn Bits through the rakeback system, just like any other Duelbits Original.

🎯 Tips for New Players

  • Start with 2-player duels to keep things simple while you learn the game

  • Remember that Dice Duels is pure chance, every number between 0.00 and 99.99 is equally likely, regardless of past results

  • Use the provably fair tools to verify any round you want to check

  • Set your own client seed if you want additional control over the verification process
