Understanding Display Currencies on Duelbits

How display currencies work on Duelbits. Understand the difference between display and base currency, why your balance fluctuates, how exchange rates are calculated, and how to switch.

Duelbits allows you to view your balance, bets, and payouts in multiple fiat currencies. This is a display setting, it changes what you see on screen, not how your funds are stored internally. This guide explains how it works, why your displayed balance can fluctuate, and how to change your preferred currency.

💡 How Your Funds Work on Duelbits

When you deposit on Duelbits, whether in crypto or fiat, your deposit is converted into Duelbits coins, which are tied to the value of the US dollar. This means that regardless of how you deposit, your internal balance is held in a USD-equivalent unit.

Your display currency is the fiat currency used to show you values on screen, your balance, bet amounts, winnings, and game interfaces. It converts your USD-equivalent Duelbits coins balance into your chosen currency using a live exchange rate.

For example, if you deposit BTC, it is converted into Duelbits coins at the BTC/USD rate at the time of deposit. If your display currency is set to EUR, the interface then converts that USD-equivalent balance into euros for display.

📉 Why Your Displayed Balance Fluctuates

If your display currency is set to anything other than USD, your displayed balance will change as the exchange rate between your chosen currency and USD moves, even if you have not placed any bets, deposited, or withdrawn.

For example, if your display currency is EUR:

  • EUR weakens against USD → your displayed EUR balance increases (same USD value, more euros)

  • EUR strengthens against USD → your displayed EUR balance decreases (same USD value, fewer euros)

No funds have been gained or lost, your Duelbits coins balance (tied to USD) has not changed. The number on screen is simply reflecting the current exchange rate between USD and your display currency.

The Currencies modal also notes that small differences may appear in bet amounts or payouts when changing currencies, due to conversions where the value is less than one US cent.

If you want a stable displayed balance that matches your internal value, set your display currency to USD.

🔄 How to Change Your Display Currency

  1. Log in to your Duelbits account.

  2. Click or tap your balance in the top navigation bar.

  3. In the dropdown that appears, tap Select Currency Display.

  4. Choose from the available currencies.

  5. Tick I agree to the Terms of Service and hit Confirm.

The following display currencies are currently available: USD, EUR, CAD, JPY, NOK, ARS, AUD, BRL, CLP, CNY, INR, IDR, MXN, NZD, TRY, and RUB.

Your display currency is saved per device and browser. If you return on the same device, it will remember your last selection. You can change it at any time.

💱 Exchange Rates

The exchange rates used for display conversion are approximate and update regularly. You can see the current USD value of each supported cryptocurrency in the Cashier panel, open it from the top navigation bar to view deposit and withdrawal options alongside their current USD equivalent.

These rates are used for display and conversion purposes. The rate at the time of your deposit determines how many Duelbits coins you receive.

🎮 Game Currency Compatibility

Some third-party game providers only support specific currencies. If you try to open a game that does not support your currently selected display currency, you will see a prompt offering to switch to USD to continue playing.

This is a provider-level limitation, not a Duelbits restriction. Duelbits Originals (Crash, Dice, Mines, Plinko, etc.) support all available display currencies.

🎰 Free Spins

Free Spins on Duelbits are locked to USD. If you have been awarded Free Spins and your display currency is set to something other than USD, the Free Spins will not appear. Switch your display currency to USD to view and use them.

Common Questions

Does changing my display currency convert my actual funds?

No. Display currency is purely visual. Your funds remain as Duelbits coins tied to USD. No conversion, exchange, or swap takes place when you change the display setting.

Can I bet in multiple currencies within the same session?

No. Each bet reflects your chosen display currency. If you want to bet in a different display currency, change it first.

Will my display currency preference carry over to a different device?

No. The setting is saved per device and browser. If you switch devices, you may need to set your preferred display currency again.

Why does the game show a different amount than my balance?

Some games display values in their own default currency (usually USD). If your display currency is set to something else, the values within the game may appear different from your wallet balance. Both are showing the equivalent value at the current exchange rate.

I deposited in BTC but my balance shows a dollar amount. Is that correct?

Yes. All deposits are converted into Duelbits coins tied to USD. The amount you see reflects the USD value of your BTC at the time of deposit, displayed in your chosen currency.

A cryptocurrency in the Cashier says "Temporarily unavailable." What does that mean?

This means deposits or withdrawals for that specific cryptocurrency are temporarily disabled, usually due to network maintenance, blockchain congestion, or a provider issue. The coin will become available again once the issue is resolved. Your existing balance is not affected.
